We will be taking you on a guided tour around the beautiful surroundings you can visit Pet’s Corner, where you’ll find everything from alpacas to pot-bellied pigs, a boating lake and if we’re lucky the ice cream van will be there too!

Student living by Sodexo welcomes their residents in style on the 24th September 2019. Hosted by a local comedian Joby Mageean fresh from his stint at Edinburgh fringe festival. There will be guest speakers from the Police, fire and rescue and of course the accommodation managers. This is compulsory attendance for all residents staying at either; Claude Gibb, Lovaine Halls, Trinity Square, New Bridge St., Winn or Glenamara. There will be free samples from different vendors across the city and much much more. This isn’t your usual induction! Watch this space for more information.

Wednesday 25th September plays host to our Societies & Volunteering Fair where there will be over 100 stalls hosted by our own societies as well as volunteering groups and charities, and you can chat to all of them about the amazing activities and opportunities you can get involved in whilst at Northumbria. On this day, there will also be a designated 'quiet hour' from 10-11am with no music playing so if you prefer to attend when there is more space and you're able to hold a better conversation, be sure to head down early.

Newcastle City Council have organised cycle tours of Newcastle.
City Tour – 10.30 to 11.00
City Tour – 11.30 to 12.00

Tours are leaving from the Quad (outside Northumbria Students’ Union) and all you need to do is turn up.
You can bring your own bike or if not, there are some bikes that you are available to borrow.

We have arranged space for 30 students to attend a FREE pottery painting session with The Pottery Experience.
You will be able to pick from a selection of pottery to paint and design.
Not sure where to go? Fear not, our Freshers Team will meet you at the NSU Welcome Desk and walk you to the Pottery Experience.

Join our Computer Video Game Society for an epic celebration of all things video games at our Big Gamer Party.
With fifteen stations to choose from, race your way down Rainbow Road, take on your friends at Fifa or mess about on Minecraft. Either way, there’s something for everyone of every skill level.
We’ll be serving up pizzas and goodies to keep you going, win or lose and we’re even throwing a Big Gamer Raffle, where one lucky winner will be walking away with a Nintendo Switch!
Stick around once the gaming is over for the first society led club night of the year, when we’ll crank up the music, open up the bar and see if your dance skills are as good as your gaming skills. The after-party also takes place in Reds from 8pm - late!
